Welcome to the Mojave Rails website. Mojave, California, is a railroad town, first last and always. It may have moved into the 21st Century with the fancy designation Spaceport, but it's the trains that are ever-present. The town was built in 1876 by the Southern Pacific Railroad, and ever since it's been a transportation focal point. This site is a small attempt at documenting the history, both past and on-going, of the lifeblood of Mojave. |
